Situated on a canal-side development of just 40 houses and built in 2018 by Lodge Park Homes, renowned for their high standard of finish, this beautiful home stands at an impressive 2,000 sq ft. and is the only one of its type.

Why buy this home?

You'd be mistaken for not knowing 'The Moorings' existed as it is tucked away from the main road, next to the canal. Only one road in and out of the development makes the area extremely peaceful, whilst at the same time has created a strong community feel between the residents.

Located on a superb corner plot, this stunning home offers the best of modern living in a tranquil setting. As you enter via the central hall, your eyes are immediately drawn to the beautiful rustic-wood style flooring which draws you into the kitchen/breakfast room.

This space is easily the beating heart of this home due to its size and functionality. There is a dedicated dining area large enough to fit an 8-seater dining table, as well as a breakfast bar for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat. The horseshoe-shape of the kitchen area makes it a social able space, and as the 5-ring Smeg gas hob is on the separating worktop it means the chef can join in the conversation with the family or dinner party guests. Quality Smeg appliances include an eye-level double oven and dishwasher. A separate utility room provides two spaces for a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as an under stairs storage cupboard which could easily be used as a pantry.

Doors from the kitchen/breakfast room lead out to the garden which is relatively private for a newer style property. There is a patio, ideal for a seating area, and a low maintenance lawn. A side door leads to the oversized double garage which could easily be used for cars as well as storage - or you could create a separate living space, workshop or home office (stpp).

The other side of the entrance hall is the large living room with three large windows making it a bright and airy space. There is a fireplace opening which suits a gas fire or log burner, although the current owners have opted to use it as a statement piece to house a display cabinet. The size of the room means you can have two separate sitting areas, or you could have a further dining table should you wish. A WC completes the impressive downstairs.

More impressive still is the size of the bedrooms on the first floor. Starting with the master bedroom, the designated dressing area with built-in wardrobes frees up floor space making it a comfortable space where you can treat yourself to a superking size bed. The ensuite has a double shower which is lined with stunning tiles. The fact that the window sills are tiled to match the rest of the ensuite shows the attention to detail and quality of this home. Bedroom four and five on this floor are a similar size but are a great shape meaning lots of furniture can be installed without feeling cramped. These bedrooms are served by the family bathroom which not only has a deep bath but also a double shower too. As with the ensuite, there is a chrome heated towel rail.

On the second floor are two further bedrooms. The second bedroom has its own ensuite and is the perfect place for a teenager to have their own space. There are fitted wardrobes as well as a further storage cupboard. The ensuite is finished to the same quality as the one in the master bedroom, but also has a skylight to ensure it is filled with natural light. The third bedroom opposite again has fitted wardrobes and an alcove under the window - the ideal spot for a dressing table.

More about the location...

A mixture of old buildings and new developments, Fenny Stratford is a small town at the edge of Milton Keynes. Its market may be long gone but it hosts various shops, restaurants, pubs, newsagents, and hotels centered mainly around Aylesbury Street.

The Grand Union Canal runs through the southern outskirts of the town and Fenny Lock is located in Simpson Road area to the east of Watling Street.

Fenny Stratford is bordered by North Street, Bletchley Leisure Centre, Knowles School/Leon Recreational Ground and the Fenny Allotments from the west, the Rail line, Watling street and Denbigh East from the north, Water Eaton Brook by the south and the River Ouzel and Grand Union Canal from the east.

Manor Fields sports ground to the south of the town is home to Bletchley Town, Bletchley RUFC, the Irish Centre and other activities. The Roman town lay either side of Watling Street and thus Manor Fields lies on part of it.
