KW brings transformation to the UK estate agency industry

Keller Williams UK are getting ready to train a new generation of real estate professionals with the launch of the KW Academy – a business accelerator programme for real estate agents. The 90-day programme aims to attract ambitious professionals from a variety of industries, who are keen to have the opportunity to launch their own property business.

The Academy, which launches in July, will provide delegates with the training, skills, and certifications to start and run their own Estate Agency business. Students will commit to a blend of online training and learning tasks which can be completed outside of normal working hours, allowing the possibility for participants to continue working full-time while they attend, should they wish to. Students will kick start their journey with a dynamic launch day, where they’ll meet their new colleagues as well as network with existing Keller Williams agents and industry professionals.

Keller Williams is the world’s largest Real Estate network of entrepreneurs, with over 200,000 associates based across 58 countries. KW is an industry leader when it comes to technology, training, and investment in its people – and this latest initiative defines its commitment to the future of the industry.

Graduates from KW Academy will leave with the appropriate skills and know-how to be able to start their own business. The KW model allows agents to enjoy much higher commission rates than the industry standard, more control, as well as having a better work life balance – all supported by a national team of KW Leaders.

Jessica Aryee, Head of Training and Coaching at Keller Williams UK said of the new initiative:

“The KWUK Academy is the ideal way for ambitious professionals, who may be uninspired by their current role or undervalued by their current employer, to start their own business with all of the freedom and flexibility that gives. We put the control back into the hands of our agents – and the academy will demonstrate the pathway to success. I recommend that anyone interested read more about the programme and if it feels right for you, submit an application while places remain available.”

State of your Company Award Winners – Quarter 1 2023

In April this year, KWUK celebrated the success of the entrepreneurs empowered through the real estate network with its quarterly State of Your Company (SOYC) Awards. These awards recognise the successes of agents (who run their own businesses) across the country, and have excelled in doing so. The SOYC Awards take place quarterly as part of a wider meeting which includes key industry updates as well as KW internal updates such as developments in training and technology offerings. During the awards, celebrated agents and their achievements are shared with associates across the UK. Ben Taylor, CEO of Keller Williams UK said of the awards:

This quarter’s first place winners for each category are listed below:

The UK’s fastest selling neighbourhoods

The UK’s fastest selling neighbourhoods

Rightmove has recently announced the top UK neighbourhoods where homes are selling fastest… has your town made the list?

Out of the top ten fastest selling locations, seven were in Scotland – good news for those trying to sell north of the border. And whilst the market is generally more settled than last year, it’s still buoyant, with an average selling time of 55 days for the UK and 34 days for Scotland. For comparison, the average selling time for a home in March 2019 was 67 days.

Other findings in the report show that London is still the slowest market, with an average property sale time of 65 days. Properties that lie in commuter belts for major cities are selling faster than last year, for example Windsor in Berkshire, Knaphill in Surrey, and Cowley in Oxfordshire – albeit they didn’t make the top ten list.

Here’s a few of the featured top ten, including a few examples of homes for sale through Keller Williams agents!

Falkirk, Stirlingshire – Average sale time: 22 days

Racking up a number of accolades in recent years, including “Most Beautiful Town” and “Best Walking Neighbourhood”, Falkirk is steeped in history and has won the top spot for the fastest house sales this quarter. With an average sale time of only 22 days – if you’ve got a home here the chances of a quick sale are high!

Renfrew, Renfrewshire – Average sale time: 24 days

Another historic Scottish town, only six miles outside of Glasgow, it’s proximity to Scotland’s largest city undoubtedly has undoubtedly played a part in the fast house sales in the area. It came in at position number 3 on Rightmove’s list, with house sales taking an average of 24 days.

Hall Green, Birmingham – Average sale time 26 days

One of the three English towns making the top ten, Hall Green in Birmingham came in at position number 8 on Rightmove’s list. Sitting west of Solihull in the South East of the City, Hall Green is known for good schools and suburban living. Yet another commuter area, it’s only six miles outside of the city centre – making it an excellent option for commuters.
