How Can Keller Williams Give You A Career Worth Having?

Watch Video

Why did I choose to work for Keller Williams? Because they give people the tools they need to grow their own business and build a great life.

Why did I choose Keller Williams?

At the beginning of this year, after 25 years of building state agency businesses across the UK in what most would consider a traditional model, I met two remarkable people: Diane Griffin and Matt Fetick. These two are very successful Realtors from the US who worked for a business I didn’t know much about called Keller Williams.

They invited me to the US and I traveled to Las Vegas to attend a gathering they call the Family Reunion. 18,000 people in total attended the Family Reunion. While I was there I listened to Gary Keller, the co-founder of KW. In five years, his company grew from 70,000 agents to 170,000 agents. It started in just the US, but now it's spread to 25 other countries. If you Google companies that grow at that rate, the only names you’ll find are businesses that have something utterly remarkable about them.

When I listened to Gary, I understood why this business is growing at that extraordinary rate. Gary said that 34 years ago, he wanted to build a business that everybody wanted to join and nobody wanted to leave. His view was that the only way to do that was by giving people what they wanted. Give them the tools, technology, systems, processes, and—most importantly—the training to build the business they want rather than build a business to help himself build a bigger company. That’s why KW is growing in places like France, Portugal, South Africa, and here in the UK.

The other thing that resonated with me and I know will resonate with the hundreds of other people I’ve worked with over the years is Gary’s belief (which I share) that we are never more than five years away from being, doing, or owning anything we want.

"I believe this company can provide the ultimate tools to help people build those great lives."

I became part of KW and partnered up with Dane, Matt, and Ben Kinney because I believe this company can provide the ultimate tools to help people build those great lives. As we say at KW, “To help people have careers worth having, businesses worth owning, and—most importantly—lives worth living.” It’s a grand statement, I know, but as I’ve got to know this business, it truly does exactly that.

Who does this model work for? That’s one of the beautiful aspects of it. It works for a smart mother with great values who really knows people but has other priorities in their life, like family, that means they can’t work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at one location. It works brilliantly for that type of person because they can work the hours they want to work.

The model also works beautifully for business owners in the UK with low margins and high fixed costs. At KW, we provide a central hub, and out of that hub, individuals can have technology, systems, processes, education, and everything else they need to grow their own business and build a great life for them and the people they care about.

It really is that unique and that different. I should know—I’ve been doing this for 25 years across the Southeast part of this country and have worked with most models.

Whether you do or don’t want to be a part of KW, I’m happy to share what this model is and how it can help you. Some parts of it you can just have—books like “The One Thing” and “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent” feature some really incredible content that can add value to your business and life.

If you would like to know more about KW and their model, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d love to sit down and talk to you about how it works and whether you can use it in your own world and make a career worth having, a business worth owning, and a life worth living. We look forward to hearing from you.
